"The photographic series of Nirvana / Paradise : Reality / Illusion , 2007, explores the interchange between Buddhist and Christian perceptions through my performance of myself as a still-life object on the roofs of houses.

As a child, I used to climb and sit on the roof of my home in the countryside. I liked to look around from my self to my family, home, street, car, garden, canal, ricefield, hill, clouds, birds and butterflies. I would breathe slowly as in meditation and wished the air would set me free from this world.

I try to observe the world in a Buddhist way. The world of materialism and emptiness, happiness and sadness, simplicity and complication, peace and disorder. The world that would reveal to me both its reality and illusion. Let me see the paradise and the hell that exist in my mind."

"Project Zero"

The Office of Knowledge Management and Development (OKMD) is organizing "Project Zero", an art festival, between 9-14 June 2007. "Learning Art Starts from Zero".

The exhibition is divided into four zones

in the Atrium
1. "Experience" : sculptures, paintings, photographs and videos by emerging artists; Porntaweesak Rimsakul, Thaweesak Srithongdee, Yuree Kensaku and Top Changtrakul.

2. "Forward" featuring 30 works by first- and second-year art students at Chulalongkorn University including Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana. She is presenting the work titled "Dinner at Cartier".

3. "Design zone" : Award-winning work by Silpakorn University's Designers of the Year for 2006-07.

3. "Factor": graphic design and animation works by Duck Unit and Be Our Friend.

4. "Music & Sound Experimental" : mini-concert by Petch Osathanugrah on Saturday at 6.30pm.

La Fete: "Some Proposals for the next future"

at PSG (Faculty of Painting, Sculpture, and Graphic Arts) Gallery, Silpakorn University.

"Some Proposals for the next future" questions the political and conceptual stakes concerning some of the artistic practices in which architecture was considered as one of the ways in which the work of art could escape from its status of consumer good. Two Thai artists are invited to exchange ideas on these proposals: Wit Pinkanchanapong is interested in new information technology and social and urban space, and Arin Rungiang, questions the strategies of conceptual art and the spiritual aspects of Thai culture.

At a time when the stream of information and objects is speeded up, the importance and place of the work of art will be at the core of this exhibition.
